Teen hit by bullet during drive-by shooting in Wilmington

WILMINGTON, NC (WWAY) — Wilmington Police are investigating a drive-by shooting after they say a teenage girl was hit by a bullet.

Police say a 16-year-old girl was shot in the hand in the 600 block of 10th Street around 2:30 a.m. Sunday. They say a group of people were outside having a party when a suspect in a dark car fired multiple shots from the backseat.

Wilmington Police ask anyone with information to call the Wilmington Police Department.
