Teen in jail after argument leads to shooting

NEW HANOVER COUNTY, NC (WWAY) — An 18-year-old man is jail after an argument ended with a shooting. New Hanover County deputies charged Massimo Campana with assault with a deadly weapon with intent to kill and weapon possession by a felon.

Deputies responded to reports of gunfire at Briarcliff Apartments last night. Witnesses said two men were arguing outside the building when one man shot the other.

Detectives found the victim at the hospital and later tracked down Campana. He is in jail under $500,000 bond.
