Teen robbery suspect facing charges

WILMINGTON — A 16-year-old Castle Hayne boy is facing armed robbery charges after allegedly robbing three people at gunpoint.

Investigators say the incidents happened Saturday night around 11 o’clock in downtown Wilmington.

Police caught up with the teen shortly after the robberies. They say he had a stolen camera and stolen gun on him when they arrested him.

Detectives say the teen may be connected to two other robberies.

Police have not released the suspect’s name because of his age.
