The 1865 Society of Pender County, Inc. to host Quarter Auction fundraiser

BURGAW, N.C. (WWAY) — The 1865 Society of Pender County, Inc is inviting the community to take part in a night of giving, food and prizes at their annual Quarter Auction fundraiser. The event is scheduled for Saturday, March 28 at Burgaw Middle School. Doors open at 5 p.m., with the auction beginning at 6 p.m.
Organizers say attendees can exchange dollars for quarters to bid on a variety of items, including gift cards, specialty items and unique experiences. A raffle will also be held during the event. Food will be available for purchase, including barbecue sandwiches.
The 1865 Society of Pender County, Inc. is a 501(c)(3) organization, and officials say all proceeds will go toward supporting community programs and a Juneteenth celebration. Organizers encourage attendees to bring friends and take part in what they describe as a fun and impactful evening.
