The Big Talker FM raises more than $10k for soldiers

WILMINGTON, NC (WWAY) – The Big Talker FM’s Chad Adams said they raised more than $10,000 and packed more than 185 boxes during their live remote this morning at the National Guard Armory.

The money and items will go to Step Up for Soldiers / Packages from Home – a program that sends basic necessities to troops in Afghanistan.

State Senator Thom Goolsby challenged listeners with a $1,000 match, which he gave Adams today.
