The Bladen Journal helps families in need this holiday season
ELIZABETHTOWN, NC (WWAY) — The Bladen Journal is holding their annual Empty Stocking Fund again and they are collecting to help families in need have a happy holiday.
Their goal is $12,000, but there’s a twist, if they exceed that goal by $3,000, the Journal’s editor and general manager W. Curt Vincent will sleep on the roof of the newspapers office the weekend of Christmas. The Bladen Journal is hoping they can reach over 200 children this year.
So far, they have raised over $6,000, but they still have a ways to go to meet their goal.
Donations for this year’s Empty Stocking Fund can be dropped off at The Bladen Journal office in downtown Elizabethtown or mailed to:
