Robinson Community College Opens New Pembroke Center to Serve Community Needs

Robinson Community College has opened a new center in Pembroke, North Carolina, offering local students and residents a wide range of educational and community resources. This new facility, located on Union Chapel Road near UNC Pembroke, aims to enhance student access to resources and provide additional support for both academic and career development.

The Pembroke center is designed to function as an extension of Robinson Community College’s main campus. Available services include registration for continuing education classes, admissions and financial aid assistance, and career exploration support. Students seeking jobs can also benefit from interview coaching and job placement services. The center’s community-focused approach also includes a 16-seat conference room, which is available for local groups at no cost, with audiovisual capabilities to support meetings and events.

In collaboration with UNC Pembroke, Robinson Community College has created pathways for students needing additional credits, helping them advance their studies conveniently. Plans for future programs include small business workshops, GED and adult high school orientation, and English as a Second Language classes, with more offerings to come based on community feedback.

The center’s convenient location and variety of services make it a valuable new resource for Pembroke. To learn more, visit Thomas Center  or stop by the center.
