Great Wilmington Nutcracker returns to Wilson Center
WILMINGTON, NC (WWAY) — The U.S. International Ballet has partnered with Wilmington Ballet Company to bring a Christmas tradition to The Wilson Center in Wilmington this weekend.
23 professional ballet dancers from 5 countries have formed USIB in Wilmington and debut their company in “The Great Wilmington Nutcracker”.
Italian Ballet Stars, Walter Angelini and Ines Albertini, lead the new company.
As a winner of Encore Magazine’s “Best Theatrical Show in Wilmington”, the production features unique elements including aerial artists, stilt walkers, LED effects and more.
WWAY’s own Daniel Seamans is the Master of Ceremonies.
Local youth dancers accent professionals and bring delightful elements to the production.
There are two performances: Saturday at 6 p.m. and Sunday at 3 p.m.
The ballet is approximately 2 hours long, including intermission. It is a show appropriate for all ages.
Arrive early to enjoy pre-show festivities, including; Christmas Caroling, Youth Performances, and Character Photo-ops.
