The River Hotel in Southport is on the way up

SOUTHPORT, NC (WWAY) — A new hotel is on its way in Southport and is sure to help accommodate some tourists coming to the area later this year.

It’s called The River Hotel of Southport on Moore Street towards the ferry landing.

It’s a three building complex and will feature water views from the condominiums, a beach area, a fishing pier and much more.

Pillars have been set up and and Cooke Realty said the framing for the hotel will start at the end of the month.
