UPDATE: Victorious Victor chooses Harvard

WILMINGTON, NC (WWAY) — We’re proud to pass along the announcement that Victor Agbafe has chosen Harvard out of the 14 schools vying for him.

Victor was recently featured as one of our Extraordinary People of the Week and accomplished the rare feat of being accepted into all eight Ivy League schools and six more top-tier universities.

Here are some of the highlights of his high school accomplishments:

Victor Agbafe is the Student Body President at Cape Fear Academy. He’s involved in youth and government programs across the state.

All of his current activities led to three honors for his future:
-He was just named a Morehead-Cain Scholar at UNC. Officials say fewer than 4 percent of 30,000 applicants get that honor.
-Victor was just named a 2015 Coca-Cola Scholar. He’ll get $20,000 in scholarship money for that one.
-And he just returned from the United States Senate Youth Scholarship Program in Washington DC. Only two from each state get this honor.

Keep up the Extraordinary work Victor!!
