Third arrest made in Northchase shooting


WILMINGTON, NC (WWAY) — A third teen is facing charges in connection with a shooting at a Wilmington development.

Lt. Jerry Brewer with the New Hanover County Sheriff’s Office said William Stacey Baysden, 17, has been charged with injury to personal property and conspiracy. The other two teens charged, Jeremiah Billy Montgomery and Garyelle Tynee Purdie, both 18, are also facing conspiracy charges in addition to previous charges.

A shooting was reported in the 4200-block of Edward Hyde Place Tuesday after 7:30 p.m. No one was hurt, but a car and home were hit by bullets.
