Third case of rabies found in New Hanover County

New Hanover County has seen its third case of rabies this year.

A sick raccoon that was approaching residents in the area of South Cardinal Drive tested positive for the virus.

Two other rabies cases were confirmed in the past several weeks near the Military Cutoff Road and Windmill Way areas.
