Thousands of grams of methamphetamine, cocaine seized during traffic stop

NEW HANOVER COUNTY, NC (WWAY) — A Wilmington man is behind bars and facing multiple drug charges following a traffic stop on Thursday.
According to the New Hanover County Sheriff’s office, deputies were conducting the traffic stop in the Bryce Court area.
Deputies pulled over 30-year-old Arnold Espana-Cruz. When deputies discovered Espana-Cruz was driving without a license and acting strangely, a K-9 deputy searched the vehicle.
During the search, deputies located approximately 1000 grams of methamphetamine and 1000 grams of cocaine.
Espana-Cruz has been charged with trafficking methamphetamine and cocaine.
He is in the New Hanover County Detention Facility under a $3,000,000.00 secured bond.
