Threathening phone call evacuates Wrightsville Family Practice and Urgent Care Center

On Tuesday, someone made a threatening phone call to the Wrightsville Family Practice and Urgent Care Center. The office was evacuated, and officers went in to investigate. They found nothing suspicious.

One person we spoke to happened to be a witness at the Bank of America robbery and the bomb threat.

“I just went over to Bank of America and there’s a bunch of cops there, actually to use the ATM but you couldn’t go inside. I came back over here to meet a friend, and I guess there was a bomb threat,” said Wilmington’s Mitch Baker.

Though they happened close by, police do not believe the bank robbery and threatening phone call are related.
