Three arrested in Brunswick County methamphetamine trafficking investigation
BOLIVIA, NC (WWAY) — Three Brunswick County residents are facing charges following a methamphetamine trafficking investigation conducted by the Brunswick County Sheriff’s Office Vice and Narcotics Unit.
According to the sheriff’s office, detectives arrested three individuals after an investigation into suspected methamphetamine trafficking in the Bolivia area. During the operation, investigators recovered more than 38 grams of methamphetamine.
The primary suspect, 54-year-old Christopher Todd Carroll of Jake Drive in Bolivia, faces multiple charges, including three counts of trafficking methamphetamine, conspiracy to traffic methamphetamine, possession with intent to manufacture, sell and deliver methamphetamine, possession of drug paraphernalia, felony obstructing justice, and a parole violation.
Also arrested was 38-year-old Stephen Bryant of Canal Drive in Bolivia. Bryant was charged with maintaining a vehicle for controlled substances, a felony, and conspiracy to traffic methamphetamine.
A third suspect, 53-year-old Kirk Davis of Long Leaf Hills Drive in Bolivia, was charged with conspiracy to traffic methamphetamine.
In a statement, the Brunswick County Sheriff’s Office said it remains committed to identifying, investigating, and arresting individuals responsible for distributing illegal narcotics throughout the county.
Officials also encouraged residents to continue reporting suspicious activity and thanked the public for its support in helping keep Brunswick County communities safe.
The investigation remains ongoing.
