Time Warner Cable problem causing issues viewing local channels

WILMINGTON, NC (WWAY) — Problems at Time Warner Cable are causing problems for some viewers wanting to watch WWAY and other local channels.

TWC tells WWAY engineers that a fiber issue from Atlanta to Virginia led to local channels not being available. TWC is working on the problem.

Earlier this afternoon TWC cable and internet service went down for much of the Carolinas. Time Warner Cable’s support Twitter account acknowledged the issue just before 6 p.m. At 8:44 p.m., @TWC_Help replied to a customer asking about issues in Wilmington saying there was still no estimated time of restoration.

WWAY is available for free over the air on digital channel 3.1. The Cape Fear CW is available on digital channel 3.2, and COZI TV is on 3.3.
