Time is up for Wright

NEW HANOVER COUNTY — Time is up for state Rep. Thomas Wright.

The state Board of Elections is sending another letter his way — this one will terminate the active status of his campaign finance committee.

That means Wright can no longer receive any contributions or make any expenditures until he files his long overdue semi-annual finance report and pays any late fees.

The Wake County district attorney is also looking into possible criminal violations.
