Titan America is turning down state funds

Titan America will turn down $200,000 of state funds. The money would have come from a Department of Transportation grant, enabling the company to improve railroad access to the cement plant in Castle Hayne.

Titan officials said they decided not to accept the money because they could not meet the construction deadline set by the grant program.
