Topsail High Wins 1-A East Baseball Title

The Topsail High School baseball team beat Perquimans 17-5 Saturday night in Perquimans to advance to the NCHSAA 1A State Championship.

After falling behind 2-0, the Pirates responded with a 10 run outburst and never looked back winning 17-5 in five innings.

Topsail will now face South Stanly in a best-of-three series that begins on Friday in Zebulon.

The Topsail baseball team will be featured on the Coach’s Corner on WWAY on Sunday, May 31 at 11:30am.
