Toys for Tots spreads cheer to thousands of children

WILMINGTON, NC (WWAY) — There was plenty of holiday cheer shared in this year’s Toys for Tots donations. Organizers in New Hanover County says they received 17,245 toys, 1,054 books and 102 bicycles for needy kids.

That was enough to assist eight area charities, and, most importantly, Make sure about 5,000 children have a Merry Christmas.
