Traffic issues expected for Beach2Battleship triathlon

WILMINGTON, NC (WWAY) — The seventh annual Beach2Battleship Triathlon is happening Saturday in New Hanover County, and officials want drivers to be aware of traffic delays due to the race.

The Wrightsville Beach Bridge will have increased traffic as well as the intersection of Market Street and Porters Neck Road until late morning. Highway 421 and the Isabel Holmes Bridge will also see backups in the afternoon and evening.

Water Street from Grace to Dock Street is currently closed and will be until Sunday morning.
