Weather blamed for traffic death

WILMINGTON — One man is dead after crashing his car into a tree early this morning.

Wilmington police say it happened after two a.m. in the 3500 block of South 17th Street. That’s near George Anderson Drive.

Investigators say 23-year-old Matthew Holjencin was the only person in the car. Police say weather was a factor in the crash.
