Training for caregivers whose loved ones have cancer

The American Cancer Society is helping caregivers cope with taking care of a sick loved one.

The society is holding a free workshop called I Didn’t Apply for this Job.

Health professionals will conduct a massive conference call with caregivers in our area who are dealing with the burden of providing for a family member with cancer.

The workshop will take place Tuesday and Thursday this week.

Shelly Thomas, American Cancer Society, said, “They’re working and they’re caring for their loved one, it may be hard for them to get out to a support group, but this is something that they can do from the comfort of there own home and hopefully they’ll get some good information to make them feel supported.”
