Transit Authority considering beach stop

WILMINGTON — Why doesn’t the bus go to the beach? WAVE Transit says it’s the number one question it gets each year.

Now the Transit Authority is considering the possibility of a route to Wrightsville Beach.
Officials are not sure if a bus would actually go to the beach or just stop at the drawbridge.

Nothing will be finalized until at least next year.

WAVE Transit says the decision is up to Wrightsville Beach officials.
