Troubleshooters Update: Man protests driving regulations
WWAY has an update on the Pender County man who refuses to get a license plate, registration, or insurance on his truck.
Donald Sullivan said the Constitution gives us the right to travel the public highways, and he should not be charged or regulated for simply exercising his right.
Earlier this year, Donald Sullivan got out of a ticket for driving without the necessary paperwork and felt he had been proven right in the eyes of the law.
That was until yesterday, when the same judge found him guilty for driving without documentation on a separate occasion.
Donald Sullivan has appealed the conviction to Pender County Superior Court and it may ultimately be up to a jury to decide what should happen in this case.
