Turnover-prone Wolfpack searching for stability on offense

RALEIGH (AP) — North Carolina State has plenty of questions to answer between now and what should be the first victory of Tom O'Brien's tenure there when the winless Wolfpack play Wofford of the subdivision formerly known as Division IAA.

Then again, even that isn't such a sure thing — especially if Harrison Beck's decision-making skills don't improve.

Beck remains the starter despite throwing five interceptions during a blowout loss at Boston College because O'Brien says he still gives his team the best chance to win.

N.C. State leads the ACC in passing by averaging more than 311 yards per game.

The problem is keeping the ball away from the opponents.

No team in major college football has more turnovers than the Wolfpack's nine. At minus-4, they have the worst turnover margin in the subdivision formerly known as I-A. And only Oregon State (eight) has thrown more interceptions than N.C. State's seven.
