TV pilot coming to Wilmington

It looks like the pilot for a new TV series will be filmed here in Wilmington. Sources tell WWAY a still untitled medical drama has selected the Port City as its shooting location.

The series is tied to executive producer John Wells, famous for his shows “ER” and “The West Wing.” The LA Times reports the drama would focus on a medical team traveling the country to help people in crisis. CBS has reportedly ordered the pilot slated to star Amy Smart and Rachelle Lefevre.
