Two arrested for theft of scrap metal

ELIZABETHTOWN NC (WWAY) — Samuel Stephenson Butler II, 26, and Jessica Renea Hunt, 27, of 405 Melvin Road Elizabethtown were both arrested on 01/05/2012 and charged with Felony Larceny and Felony Possession of Stolen Property.
Both subjects are accused of taking scrap metal from a residence on Wade Smith Road Garland.
The owner had been having scrap metal taken from his residence and set up a several cameras around his property.
After reviewing the cameras, deputies located the suspects in a yellow pick-up truck with the stolen property still in the back.
The pick-up was seized along with the stolen property for evidentiary purposes.
Both subjects have been released from the Bladen County Jail after posting $3000 and $2000 secured bonds, respectively.
