Two charged after Carolina Beach Rd. accident
WILMINGTON, NC (WWAY) — Two people have been charged in a Monday night crash that sent them both to the hospital.
According to a Wilmington Police spokeswoman, it happened around 11:15 p.m in the 3500 block of Carolina Beach Road.
Officials said Corey Bradley, of Wilmington, veered into the path of an oncoming vehicle. Kali Pearce, a passenger in Bradley’s vehicle, and Bradley were taken to New Hanover Regional Medical Center. Pearce sustained life-threatening injuries and is still in the hospital.
After checking DMV records, officers found Bradley’s driver’s license is suspended. He was charged with Driving While License Revoked and Failure to Wear a Seatbelt. Officers also issued an arrest warrant for Pearce for Failure to Wear a Seatbelt and allowing Bradley to operate her vehicle while his license is suspended.
