Two charged in Leland-area break-ins

BRUNSWICK COUNTY, NC (WWAY) — Deputies said there have been two arrests in Leland-area break-ins.

Deputies said Brayion Juan Dowd, 23, and Steven Alfonza Zeigler, 23, are facing charges including possession of of stolen goods or property (Dowd) and breaking and/or entering (Zeigler). Dowd’s bond was set at $1.5 million. Ziegler’s bond was set at more than $1.5 million. The arrests were part of the investigation into numerous homes in the Leland and Winnabow areas that were targeted by thieves during the day.

Investigators said both men were arrested on Tuesday, but they expect more arrests.
