Two charged in Wilmington kidnapping, shooting

WILMINGTON, NC (WWAY) — Wilmington Police have charged a Southport woman and a Wilmington man for the kidnapping and shooting of Joshua Miller last week.

WPD says Brittany Moses and Greer Hayes Old forced Miller into a vehicle along Market Street on August 9 and drove to Klein Road where Miller was pushed out of the vehicle onto the road with gunshot wounds.

Members of the US Marshals Fugitive Task Force from the Wilmington Police Department located and arrested Moses Thursday afternoon.

Moses, 25, is charged with assault with a deadly weapon inflicting serious injury and kidnapping.

Police arrested Old, 22, on Saturday night. Police say he shot at a Wilmington Police Department officer during a chase.

In addition to the charges filed Saturday, Old, a validated gang member, is charged with possession of a firearm by a felon, robbery with dangerous weapon conspiracy, kidnapping in the first degree, assault with a deadly weapon inflicting serious injury, and robbery with dangerous weapon.
