Two charged in separate heroin investigations
BRUNSWICK COUNTY, NC (WWAY) — Investigators with the Brunswick County Sheriff’s Office Drug Enforcement Unit charged two suspects in separate drug investigations.
Deputies say Ricky Hill, 37, was arrested on December 23 on charges including heroin trafficking. Deputies say approximately 300 bindles of heroin were seized from his residence during a search warrant. Hill was processed into the Brunswick County Detention Facility under a $50,000 bond.
In a separate investigation, Tammy Moore, 57, was arrested on December 30 during a traffic stop. She faces charges including trafficking heroin. Investigators say two pill bottles containing 81 Oxymorphone tablets were also seized from the vehicle during the arrest. Moore was booked into the Brunswick County Detention Facility under a $100,000 bond.
Both arrests are the result of community tips and complaints.
