Two killed in weekend Columbus Co. crash identified

COLUMBUS COUNTY, NC (WWAY) — We’re learning new details about a deadly Columbus County crash that happened over the weekend.

Assistant Coroner William Hannah said Crystal Ivey, 40, William Ellington, Junior, 42, died in the wreck on Highway 11 in Riegelwood Saturday night.

Officials said their minivan crossed the center line and hit a tractor trailer head-on. Hannah said their bodies were taken to Raleigh for autopsies.
