Two men arrested in Wrightsville Beach on kidnapping, rape charges

WRIGHTSVILLE BEACH, NC (WWAY) — Two men are in jail under a $525,000 bond after their arrest over the weekend in Wrightsville Beach on numerous sex crime charges.

According to online records, Harvey Fred Williams, 35, and Genell Stephenson, 33, are both charged with:

• Possession of cocaine
• 2nd degree rape, two counts
• Possession of drug paraphernalia
• Assault on female, two counts
• Crime against nature, two counts
• 2nd degree kidnapping, two counts
• Interfere emergency communication, two counts

They were arrested on Sunday and booked into the New Hanover County Detention Center. They are scheduled to make their first court appearance on Monday.
