WPD: Two men in critical condition after Wilmington shootings

WILMINGTON, NC (WWAY) — Police are investigating after two men ended up in the hospital in critical condition from gunshot wounds Monday night, according to a police spokeswoman.

WPD spokeswoman Linda Rawley says they got a ShotSpotter alert in the 3600 block of Metting Road around 8:25 p.m.

Rawley says one man was taken to New Hanover Regional Medical Center with a gunshot wound. She says another man showed up at the hospital after that with serious injuries after being shot.

Police say they are not sure if the shootings are related.

The names of the victims are not being released at this time, according to Rawley. Police ask that anyone with information use Text-a-Tip.
