Two teens charged, one sought for Leland break-in
BRUNSWICK COUNTY, NC (WWAY) — Two teens are in jail and deputies are looking for a third in connection with a home break-in last night in Brunswick County.
The Sheriff’s Office says Jaleel Mekiah Spearman (left), 16, of Garland, and Tijuan Terill Campbell (center), 17, of Harrells, were caught in Sampson County this afternoon and brought to the Brunswick County Jail this morning. Investigators wanted them for first degree burglary and injury to real property after a break-in around 10:30 p.m. Friday on Leah Court near Leland. They may still face more charges. Spearman is being held under $50,000 and Campbell under $1 million bond.
Saturday night investigators said they were also looking for a third suspect, Rackwon Chestnutt (right), 18, of Turkey, NC, for the same crimes. According to an arrest warrant issued for Chesnutt, there were four people, including two children, in the house during the break-in.
