Two charged for robbing cabbie

Brunswick County Sheriff Office Detectives have formally charged Timothy Ne’kos McMillan and Lashawn Curtis Williams for the armed robbery that occurred on Sunday, April 11th at the intersection of Donna Lane and River Road in Leland at approximately 9:00 pm. The two suspects have both been charged with one count of Felony Conspiracy and one count of Common Law Robbery each.

A sixty eight year old cab driver for Yellow Cab out of Wilmington was approached by the two suspects and demanded his money by threatening him. The victim gave the two suspects the cash that he had and the suspects ran into the woods.

Deputies responded to Donna Lane and K-9 handler Deputy Chris Sasser and K-9, Jacko, led deputies on the suspect track to 4201 River Road. The suspects were taken into custody and transported to the Brunswick County Detention Facility

Both McMillan and Williams are incarcerated at the Brunswick County Detention Facility under $25,000 secured bonds.
