Two construction workers injured at UNCW

A day on the job for two construction workers ended in the hospital.

They were working on a roof of a new UNCW Residence Hall when a gust of wind knocked a beam into them. They had minor injuries including cuts on their heads and one worker had a possible leg injury.

A UNCW spokesperson says they were wearing safety gear, which helped prevent further injuries.

They were working on the new Seahawk Crossing Residence Hall.
