Two men charged with murder of Wilmington man

WILMINGTON — Authorities issued warrants today for two men charged with murder.

Back in February Martin Garza of Wilmington was found shot to death inside his truck in Johnston County.

Socrates Gomez Taboada and Wilmer Cruz Alvarado are each charged with first-degree murder, kidnapping and armed robbery.

Authorities believe the pair killed Garza in late January and fled to Mexico shortly after.
