Two more cases of rabies in New Hanover County

Two more rabies cases have been confirmed in New Hanover County. That makes seven cases in the past month.

The map shows where all the rabid animals were discovered. You can see they are concentrated in the northeastern part of Wilmington.

Tuesday, Animal Control found two more rabid raccoons by Tidefall Court and Edgewood Road.

New Hanover County residents can take advantage of a free rabies clinic this weekend. It is taking place Saturday from 1:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m. at Animal Control on Division Drive. Dogs, cats and ferrets are welcome.
