UNC to raise tuition
Trustees at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill have unanimously approved a series of tuition and fee increases.
Tuition for in-state, undergraduate students would increase 6.5 percent, fees for all students would increase by 4.4 percent.
The tuition increases would help fund student aid, faculty salary increases and a variety of academic support services. The plan still has to be approved by the UNC Board of Governors.
