UNCW deals with power outage on campus Wednesday night
WILMINGTON, NC (WWAY) — UNCW dealt with a power outage on campus Wednesday night.
According to a UNCW Alert sent to students and staff around 7:30 p.m., “A power outage is affecting the UNCW main campus. The university is working with authorities to determine the cause.”
UNCW Police, Wilmington Fire, and Duke Energy vehicles were seen on campus.
Another UNCW Alert sent out just before 9 p.m. said power had been restored.
A UNCW spokeswoman said they are still working to determine the cause of the power outage.
