UNCW names alumnus as new chief of staff

WILMINGTON, NC (WWAY) — UNCW has named one of its own as the chief of staff under Chancellor Zito Sartarelli.

Bradley Ballou, a 2006 graduate, was the Student Body President and awarded with the Chancellor’s Award during his time as an undergraduate, according to a news release. As chief of staff, Ballou will coordinate daily operations in the chancellors office, provide support to the chancellor’s priorities and also serve as a liaison with the University of North Carolina General Administration.

Prior to this position, a spokeswoman said Ballou was the director of federal relations for the University of North Carolina, the liaison for the 17-campus system.

Ballou succeeds Max Allen, who left earlier this year. His first day will be November 1.
