UNCW students to hold vigil for Florida school shooting victims

WILMINGTON, NC (WWAY) — UNCW students will honor the memory of those lost in the Florida school shooting Wednesday evening.

Students are holding a vigil at the amphitheater on the UNCW campus.

There will be multiple guest speakers and a performance by one of the school’s acapella groups.

Organizers say the event is meant to “simply offer a moment of peace and silence” in honor of those who lost their lives.

The vigil starts tonight at 6 p.m.
