UNCW to host annual Intercultural Festival

WILMINGTON, NC (WWAY) — UNCW’s Office of International Students and Scholars is preparing to host its annual Intercultural Festival.

The event is happening on Saturday, March 15 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the Burney Center on UNCW’s campus.

iFest is free and open to the public.

Each year, UNCW welcomes more than 900 international students from more than 80 countries.

Intercultural Festival celebrates world cultures through music, dance, food, art, and informational booths.

With more than 30 country and community booths and more than 500 attendees in the past years, UNCW said iFest fosters a sense of global community while promoting cultural appreciation and understanding.

The family-friendly event will feature interactive activities for all ages, performances from around the world, and a variety of international cuisines.

Organizers hope to provide attendees — especially children — with a meaningful opportunity to engage with different cultures in a fun and immersive environment.
