UNCW competing in annual blood challenge

WILMINGTON — UNCW is competing with other schools in the Colonial Athletic Association Monday in something a little bigger than sports.

The Center for Leadership Education and Service and the athletic department will compete for the sixth consecutive year in the annual Colonial Athletic Association Blood Challenge.

You can help the American Red Cross and UNCW. The drive runs from 11 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Monday at the Warwick Center Ballroom on the UNCW campus.

The university gathered 168 units of blood in last year’s competition. It hopes to get even more this time around.
