UNCW professor earns accolades

A UNCW professor is standing proud. Kate Bruce is a professor of psychology at UNCW and this year’s North Carolina professor of the year. She directs the honors scholars program at the university.

Bruce traveled to Washington, DC to receive the award.

She says she learns just as much from her students as they do from her. “It’s just so exciting to see their faces light up when they see what they have been studying. Their enthusiasm is great, and I think that has affected me the most I think.”

In addition to the other four national winners, state level professors of the year were recognized in forty-four states.
