Unemployment numbers rise in most NC counties
New county unemployment rates released Tuesday are up across the region.
New Hanover was up a tenth of a point from September to October and remains the only county with less than ten percent unemployment.
Brunswick was up a tenth at 10.6.
Pender was up three-tenths to 11.1.
Columbus was up two-tenths to 12.7.
Bladen was up three-tenths to 12.3.
In all, 74 of North Carolina’s 100 counties had rising unemployment in October.
