UPDATE: All roads open after coal ash, diesel spill
BRUNSWICK COUNTY, NC (WWAY) — All roads are back open after two dump trucks collided, spilling coal ash and diesel fuel.
Brunswick County dispatch said the accident happened around 2:30 P.M. this afternoon in the 3900 block of Mt Misery Road.
Officials said one dump truck had coal ash and the other one had dirt. The initial clean up is done, but the environmental clean up will continue. There is no word on the drivers’ conditions.
Highway patrol is investigating.
