UPDATE: Man killed in Castle Hayne fire identified
CASTLE HAYNE, NC (WWAY) — Investigators have identified a man killed in a house fire early yesterday in Castle Hayne.
New Hanover County Fire says Jonathan Raymond McClory, 24, died in the fire at 1520 Rockhill Road.
Investigators say the fire appears to be accidental and electrical in nature. The fire department got the call around 3:45 a.m. A neighbor who called 911 told an operator that she woke up and noticed it was light outside her window, but realized it was too early to be light out. That’s when she looked and saw the house on fire.
An autopsy on the victim was scheduled for this morning in Jacksonville.
